Second Draft Dot Eco Policies Released for Comment
Second Draft Dot Eco Policies Released for Comment
We've just released our second draft Dot Eco policies for public comment:
1. Accuracy and Accountability - How we'll ensure Dot Eco is trustworthy.
2. Eco-Profiles - What you'll need to do to get a Dot Eco domain name.
3. Foundation - How the foundation part of Dot Eco will work.
4. Governing Principles - What Dot Eco stands for and how we will run it.
5. Name Allocation - How the most valuable Dot Eco names are given out.
These policies are based on feedback from our regional consultations, our first public comment period, and the Dot Eco Stakeholder Council.
We've simplified the format, with a summary of the policy and some big questions we need your help answering. The full policies are available in PDF for download.
Once this second round closes (on Dec 10th) responses will be aggregated by the Meridian Institute and reported to the Dot Eco Stakeholder Council for consideration before being reviewed by Big Room and integrated into a third draft set of policies.
We hope you'll find them interesting reading, and look forward to your thoughts on how we can best run this unique global resource in the interests of our community.
