The first dot eco policy meeting will take place this Thursday, June 25 from 1:30 – 5:00 p.m. at the University of Technology Sydney.

Hosted by the Institute for Sustainable Futures, this meeting of Australian sustainability leaders will discuss core policies for how dot eco should be run, including how the foundation should work, what is the bar for registration, and what are the key sustainability issues that dot eco should address.

The meeting will build on the lessons learned from the dot eco pilot consultation, which took place in Vancouver on May 20.

ICANN Sydney

All next week Anastasia and I will be on deck at the ICANN Sydney meeting to answer any questions people might have about the .eco system and generally introduce the concept to people.

Anastasia's Australian, and Australia itself is known for a particular awareness toward green issues internationally, so we're especially pleased to be launching .eco here.

...and we're live!

Welcome to Big Room's .eco! After nearly two years of work we are ready to share our concept for the .eco domain.

Have a look at our story to learn about our backgrounds and why we think .eco is such an important tool.

On our about page we provide additional depth on the concept and why it's so different from other domains.

We've worked hard to assemble a global group of advisors and partners who are committed to making .eco work for the planet.
